Trying to remember to blog a day

Ok I am getting better at blogging, but I have to get over the idea that I can only blog if I have a picture to accompany it. I have been informed that this is not true and to get my blog updated. So here's what I find noteworthy of blogging for today: I have been doing a bible study by Beth Moore and have to say that I am in awe of how God brings the right things before us at the right time. I am doing this study by myself at home and I download the videos each week from lifeway.com for $4.99 each. It actually equals out to be a little bit cheaper than purchasing the videos and paying s/h. I am trying to make myself get my home study work done every day, but am finding it difficult. So that is my focus this week. She has several other studies that have video downloads and you purchase the workbook. If anyone is interested in doing one of these with me, not starting until 2009, I would love to have a "study buddy".

Today while Andy was off hunting the kids and I went and did some much needed grocery shopping. I had the great idea of purchasing the items to put in our shoebox for Operation Christmas Child since I like to multi-task. I should probably let you know that this year we decided to do 1 present and fill stockings for our kids Christmas gifts this year. Along with that we would then bless someone else instead of spending it all on ourselves. So after watching a short video at our church the kids and I decided that this was what we wanted to do. It was interesting to watch the different personnalities at work as we shopped for items to put into the boxes. Adalynn is my indecisive one and Daniel was busy with his own Christmas wishlist. But after 3 hours, we found some great items and my kids realized how much they really do have to offer and what we take for granted! They included toys, toothbrushes, toothpaste, washclothes, candy, school supplies, and 2 gender related toys. I am excited to put them together, pray over them, and ship them off.

Yay!! I didn't even miss a picture with this post!
It sounds like a great study. I can't start one yet...maybe I'll join you in Jan. We'll have to see how it goes then.
I'm glad you've updated the blog...I missed you! Nice to have a blogging buddy! Keep up the good work.

O.K., so you aren't confused...I posted the comment...not Heather. Its wreaking havoc on my computer to have to share it with a teenager!
